Cosmetic

Tooth bleaching/ whitening is a part of cosmetic dentistry. This is offered to patients who want to have a white and brighter smile. It is done using oxidizing agents- hydrogen peroxide/ carbamide peroxide. The result of bleaching can last for several months. However much of it depends upon the lifestyle of the patient.

It requires a thorough dental examination of the patient along with the necessary X-rays. Usually, in-office bleaching is sufficient to lighten the shade. The appointment time is approximately 30 minutes. Sometimes, a home bleaching plan may even be advised to the patient.

Tooth Bonding

Tooth Bonding

A bonding procedure is usually done for cosmetic improvements, such as filling minimal decays, lightening tooth shade, removing stains, and reshaping teeth. It is also used to close minor gaps in the teeth and correct mild irregularities of the teeth. Bonding is done with a resin-based tooth-coloured material. It is generally completed in a single sitting and matches the colour and translucency of the natural tooth, giving you a beautiful smile.

Enamel Microabrasion

Enamel Microabrasion

Microabrasion is the best treatment option for people who have yellow, brown, or white spots on their teeth. It is a procedure in which a compound is rubbed over the teeth to remove superficial stains and discolourations. The procedure requires just one visit and is done without anesthesia. It may be done prior to bleaching to add to the brightness of teeth. It is a relatively simple procedure and has minimal risks. It is often considered the first choice for treating tooth discolourations.

Veneers

Veneers

Dental veneers are a part of tooth bonding procedures. They are used to correct dental imperfections- fractured teeth, stains, and mild irregularities/ spaces. They can give you a perfect smile in terms of colour, shape, and symmetry. They can either be a composite veneer or a ceramic veneer. A composite veneer can be directly placed in the mouth and requires less chairside time and fewer appointments than a ceramic veneer, which is indirectly fabricated and requires multiple visits. A ceramic veneer is more durable and has a more natural appearance.
